Tom Hill

Tom Hill has competed at the highest levels of Judo for close to 15 years. In this time he has been the national champion numerous times and won many international tournaments. Tom’s highlights are representing Australia at the 2000 Olympics and representing Australia at the Commonwealth Games, Manchester, 2002 where Tom was the first Australian ever to win a gold medal for Judo.

Tom has a level 4 Personal trainer certificate, is a certified CrossFit trainer, a Bachelor of Education (Physical Education, Health and Personal Development), and a level one strength and conditioning certificate.

With over ten years coaching experience behind him Tom not only has the expertise to bring out the best in people, he also has a great talent in understanding each individuals needs and providing a program for them so that each person that trains with him gains the maximum benefits possible.

Steve Hill

Steven Hill has been involved at the elite level of Judo for over twenty years.

He was first coached by Terry Ball who established a solid base of explosive attacks and counters with Steven which has served him well through out his career. Steven further developed his Judo training full time at INSEP in Paris and also did full time training with Great Britain legend Neil Adams, in Coventry at Neil’s elite training centre.

Steven finished in the top 10 at the World titles in Canada and was twice awarded special mention at Japans Major tournament the Shoriki Cup; he has medalled at the US Open, Pacific Rim Championships, and London Open and has been the Oceania and Australian Champion several times.

As a coach Steven has been involved at club level for over twenty years. Steven has been the ACT state coach for close to ten years and was part of the national coaching team at the 2000 Olympics and the East Asian games.

Matt D'Aquino

Matt has been competing at an international level for 8 years. Career highlights include winning the Australian & Oceania Championships numerous times, 1st St Gallen Open Switzerland, 3rd USK Cup Prague and competing for Australia at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Matt also competes in Brazilian Jujitsu tournaments winning the 2009 No-gi Submission Grappling Nationals as well as winning the Royler Gracie cup, both in the Purple belt division.

Recent results for Matt include beating a highly ranked Japanese fighter and becoming the first Australian Male to win the Pac Rim Championships for Judo as well as placing 2nd at the Australian Freestyle Wrestling nationals.
